Chang Jing is a world-renowned Guzheng virtuoso, composer, and producer known for her cross-cultural vision and genre-blending artistry. She gained global recognition as the Guzheng soloist at the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and since 2000, she has served as Guzheng instructor to Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand — a rare role that reflects her mastery and international cultural stature.

Founder and artistic director of the Xian Ensemble, Chang Jing creates boundary-pushing works that fuse classical heritage with modern aesthetics. Her music blends Guzheng, vocals, ambient, electronic, and orchestral elements into poetic sonic landscapes.

Chang Jing has performed and collaborated with artists and institutions across China, Thailand, UK, US ,Greece, France,, and Norway, and led cultural presentations at The Met Museum (NYC), Paris Opera House, and the BBC Proms, among others.She stands as a true cultural bridge between East and West, tradition and the future — redefining how Chinese music is perceived and experienced in the 21st century. Rooted in classical Chinese heritage, she fuses ancient sounds with contemporary creativity through music, art, and cross-cultural storytelling. She has led artistic collaborations with brands such as Hermès, BMW, Coca-Cola, and the Song Art Museum, making her one of the most influential sounds shaping the new image of Chinese music in international culture.
